Work for Hire / Copyright Assignment

Requires the final written agreement to designate qualifying contributions as works made for hire to the extent permitted by law, with a backup assignment transferring 100% of the creator’s applicable intellectual property, copyright, master, and publishing rights if work-for-hire status does not apply or is not enforceable.

Derivative Works Grant

Grants the purchaser the sole and unrestricted contractual right, as specified in the final agreement, to adapt, edit, remix, sample, translate, arrange, modify, and create derivative works from the transferred or licensed material.

Waiver of Moral Rights

Requires waiver, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, of rights of attribution, integrity, and similar moral rights that could restrict authorized edits, alterations, adaptations, or uses of the work.

General marketplace framework

Unless a final signed agreement states otherwise, Sonic Currency retains the underlying copyright and publishing ownership in the composition. A website payment authorization does not by itself transfer copyright, publishing ownership, or license rights.

What the purchase can provide

The buyer receives only the rights specifically stated in the final written license agreement for the selected song.

Preview access is for evaluation only and does not grant permission to exploit the recording.

Contingent purchase process

Starting a purchase authorizes the listed amount. No music rights transfer and payment is not captured until the final agreement is established and both buyer and seller confirm it.
